Can you share a bit about your role?
My role right now is to support customer acquisition for Audible through Amazon's channels in Brazil. I strategically plan and execute marketing campaigns that impact potential customers across these channels, for instance, banners appearing on Amazon.com.br that promote Audible’s service, free trial and exclusive benefits. I also work to create growth opportunities through strategic channel activations, content promotions and brand awareness.
What’s life like at the hub you are aligned to?
I'm aligned to our hub in the Amazon offices in São Paulo, Brazil, located in the Vila Olímpia neighborhood, a vibrant and upscale area known for its restaurants, shopping and business center. My colleagues and I often go out for lunch, and we have our favorite spots that we frequent, but we also enjoy trying new places.
One of the things we cherish at our office is the monthly birthday celebrations, when we gather for cake to honor our colleagues. It's a lovely tradition that fosters a sense of community and camaraderie within our team. Some of us also engage in after-work activities together, such as happy hours or attending local events. It's a great way to unwind and strengthen our bonds outside the office setting.
Can you share an an example of a time when you received customer feedback that was meaningful to you?
A few weeks after our launch, I received a message from a friend and long-time Audible customer who had recently moved to Brazil. He was thrilled to finally have access to Audible's vast library and seamless listening experience in his new home country, and shared how Audible had been a constant companion during his commutes and travels, providing an enriching way to consume books while on the go. It was heartwarming to receive such a personal note, validating that our hard work had truly enhanced the lives of listeners. This experience reinforced the impact our work can have on individual customers as we help to make the power of the spoken word accessible to more people around the globe.
Can you share a bit about your career journey with Audible?
I started with Audible as a consultant during the early stages of launching our service for Brazil, working across different teams to identify key stakeholders and understand potential synergies and partnerships for Audible's launch communication.
This led me to work closely with the Brand and Content Marketing team, and post-launch, I continued with strategic go-to-market planning, events and Amazon marketing. I was invited to officially take on my current role supporting growth channels as well as collaborations with Amazon Books, Alexa, Prime and other teams.
How do you draw inspiration from culture and technology?
There’s a significant opportunity to leverage technology to make reading more accessible and engaging. By combining storytelling with convenient digital formats, we can reach people who may have struggled with traditional reading due to time constraints, vision impairments or other barriers. The ability to listen on the go and hands-free opens up new possibilities.
I'm inspired by the potential of technology to democratize access to knowledge and literature, particularly in a culture where reading rates have historically been low, but podcast consumption is high. By meeting people where they are and offering innovative solutions, we can cultivate a love for stories and learning, ultimately fostering a stronger relationship with audio and books.
What made you choose to work with Audible, what makes you want to stay?
I was first drawn to the company's mission to make the power of the spoken word accessible to more people worldwide, and I loved the idea of being part of an organization that could inspire a love for literature and learning.
What truly solidified my decision was the People Principles. Audible's company culture puts customer obsession at the forefront, and also applies it to employees, vendors and the creative community.
Moreover, Audible's commitment to making a positive impact on society deeply resonated with me. Witnessing firsthand how the company "activates caring"—not just within our teams but also in our engagement with communities—reinforced my desire to be part of an organization that genuinely cares about making a difference.
The emphasis on leveraging individual strengths, fostering collaboration and encouraging bold thinking created an environment where I could truly thrive and grow. The freedom to experiment, learn from failures and rapidly bring ideas to life is empowering and exhilarating.

What’s your favorite listen?
Flowers for Algernon, mainly because of the incredible narration and production quality. The performance really brought the story to life and made it an immersive experience. I chose this based on recommendations from Audible colleagues who raved about how powerful and emotional the story is.
