ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible is seeking a finance professional with financial modeling and strategic advisory experience to join the Global Finance team. You will be responsible for shaping and managing strategic finance initiatives. You will be responsible for delivering analysis and complex modeling to enable fact-based decision making on Audible’s business, investments, and strategic partnerships. Your analysis will help functional leads understand the financial impact of strategic decisions and inform Audible business planning. This role also includes a reporting component which will require analysis and reporting to understand if desired returns have been achieved. Finally, this role will provide you with an excellent understanding of Audible’s business in a highly competitive subscription landscape.

You can work effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership both inside and outside of Finance. You can present compelling and well-researched analysis for use in shaping strategic decisions. As an Associate Director, Finance, you will...
- Drive the global vision by partnering with cross-functional teams to manage financial reporting and analysis that will inform business decisions for overall growth and transformation
- Manage Audible financial forecasting in partnership with Growth and Marketing teams with a specific focus on KPIs and strategies to drive growth across new member acquisition, customer retention, and engagement
- Lead analysis and financial modeling for new initiatives, business models, and go-to-market strategies through scenario analysis, revenue/KPI sizing, ROI, and risk assessments
- Strengthen our department’s use of automation and new technologies used for forecasting, financial modeling, and business intelligence activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key department personnel, data analytics teams, and Amazon Finance counterparts
- Lead financial presentations and discussions for audiences of senior executives across the organization

Basic Qualifications

- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or other related areas
- 5+ years of professional experience in financial planning, strategic financial advisory, or operational analysis within industries such as investment banking, corporate consulting, or a related media industry
- Experience building financial models from scratch and advanced Excel background
- Experience with financial systems such as Cognos TM1 or Hyperion

Preferred Qualifications

- Proven ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, executive management, and other critical stakeholders
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large data sets while developing analyses independently
- Ability to articulate ideas and conclusions clearly and effectively, while proactively serving stakeholders
- Proven ability to invent and simplify across organizations and within teams
- Past experience showing bias for action, taking smart risks, and establishing project priorities, while identifying and implementing best practices along the way
- Ability to show strategic thinking in how analysis is developed, presented and used in informed decision thinking
