ABOUT THIS ROLE
As the Senior Manager of Marketing Procurement at Audible, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic sourcing and supplier management initiatives across the company's marketing function. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored procurement strategies that align with the marketing team's objectives and priorities. Your key responsibilities will include leading the strategic sourcing process for marketing-focused indirect spend categories, analyzing spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities, managing the contract lifecycle for marketing-focused agreements, driving the adoption of procurement technologies and policies, providing strategic guidance to marketing leadership, coaching and developing a high-performing procurement team dedicated to supporting the marketing organization, and continuously improving procurement policies, procedures, and metrics to elevate the function's strategic impact within the marketing domain. Serving as a trusted partner to the marketing team, you will leverage your unique blend of procurement expertise and marketing acumen to enable their success and contribute to Audible's overall business objectives.

As a Senior Manager of Marketing Procurement, you will...
- Lead strategic sourcing projects and supplier selection for all marketing-related indirect spend categories, including advertising, media, creative services, events, and more
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, and service levels for our marketing partners and vendors
- Analyze marketing spend data to identify new cost reduction opportunities and collaborate with business stakeholders to realize those savings
- Manage the contract lifecycle for marketing-focused agreements, working closely with legal and business teams to ensure favorable commercial terms
- Drive the adoption of e-procurement tools and policies to enhance visibility, compliance, and efficiency within the marketing procurement process
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to marketing leadership on industry trends, supplier performance and innovative procurement solutions
- Continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, and metrics to elevate the functions strategic impact

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field
- 6+ years in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a focus on marketing-related categories
- 3+ years management experience
- Experience in spend analysis, category management, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- Experience with analytics and negotiation

- Ability to support different initiatives and adaptable to changes in direction and priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate procurement insights into actionable business value
- Highly motivated, drives results, and deals well with ambiguity, passion for driving innovation and continuous improvement within a procurement function
- Ability to think strategically and translate strategy into results
- Ability to coach and develop, set stretch objectives, and evaluate performance against stated goals
