User Experience Design is at the heart of Audible’s goal to be customer obsessed. The UX team works ceaselessly to transform deep customer insights into delightful and innovative product experiences that drive business results and customer satisfaction. We are searching for a passionate and experienced Senior User Experience Designer who can utilize their design talents to ensure that Audible continues to lead through product innovation.
As a member of our innovative Discovery team, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of content exploration. You'll play a pivotal role in driving our vision, leveraging AI technologies to revolutionize how listeners connect with extraordinary content and creators. As a key member of our team, you'll architect seamless discovery experiences that delight and inspire our customers.
Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting an intelligent, intuitive discovery experience that anticipates user needs and delivers magical moments throughout the customer journey. You'll have the exciting opportunity to push boundaries and raise the bar by designing refined user interfaces, implementing AI-aided discovery features, and solving complex usability challenges. Working across multiple platforms (iOS, Android, web, and Amazon), you'll help pioneer innovative ways to enhance the Audible experience and shape how millions of listeners discover their next favorite listen.

As a Senior UX Designer, you will…
- Participate as a member of a UX project team; collaborating with UX peers and cross-functional teammates from product, insights, & analytics, engineering, customer service, marketing, and QA
- Seek to understand and refine the requirements and goals of projects from the perspective of the customer
- Work iteratively to design, refine, and validate solutions. Using your design skills, you create wireframes, storyboards, walkthroughs and prototypes that communicate your design ideas to the team
- Graciously provide and incorporate meaningful feedback to improve you and the team’s design solutions and perspectives.
- Partner with User Research to ensure that your concepts meet our customer's expectations and deliver the desired results
- Produce documentation to ensure your designs are well understood by stakeholders and detailed enough for efficient development. You ensure that you have accounted for variations across a wide variety of devices and platforms, handled error conditions and edge cases, and defined usable, elegant, and innovative interactions
- Deliver designs that promote our service-wide User Experience Strategy, and utilize our UX Design System, driving product coherence and continuity

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, product designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar role
- Experience designing and delivering digital products that align customer needs and business goals; illustrated with a portfolio

Preferred Qualifications
- Able to take ambiguous design problems and work with stakeholders and user research insights to craft design solutions grounded in customer needs and business goals
- Able to clearly articulate the basis of design decisions to stakeholders and respond effectively to feedback
- Uses a variety of design tools to craft an effective approach, estimate, and plan in response to design requests
- Portfolio that demonstrates delivering end-to-end experiences for digital services across multiple platforms and devices
- Experience in a range of design approaches, methods, and tools that you use to plan, concept, and prototype complex projects
- Work that shows an understanding of assessing the overall customer experience and identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality output in all deliverables
- Demonstrated experience in navigating trade-off discussions based on resource or technical constraints, including knowing when to escalate appropriately to resolve issues
- Confidence in pushing back on requirements and proposing alternative solutions based on qualitative or quantitative data
- Experience designing and delivering solutions that address the needs of diverse customers across Audible's global markets
- Experience working across large teams with multiple stakeholders
- Experience designing for AI-enabled features and discovery is a plus
