Revolutionizing the storytelling experience is just part of an Audible UX Architect's daily responsibilities. You'll craft refined reusable interface elements and improve usability for harmonious listening anytime, anywhere, on any platform – iOS, Android, Web and Alexa. Your creativity will transform deep customer insights into innovative experiences that continuously evolve the UX, efficiencies and collaboration while discovering new ways to unleash the power of the spoken word.

As a UX Architect, Design Systems you will...
- Deeply understand our product entities, business domains, and team needs to architect flexible design systems
- Architect design systems, component libraries, patterns and guidelines to effectively model our product experiences
- Closely collaborate with product teams to ensure design systems accommodate present and future requirements
- Define standards, conventions and vision for cohesive yet adaptable design systems
- Establish principles that enable creative freedom while maintaining consistency and scalability
- Collaborate with engineering on design system architecture feasibility and implementation
- Conduct design reviews to ensure adherence to system architecture and provide guidance
- Continuously evolve the design systems based on new insights from product, technology, and research
- Educate cross-functional partners on design system architecture, usage, and best practices

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
- Experience in design systems, pattern libraries, component modeling and architecture
- Understanding of software architecture, APIs, coding patterns and practices
- Ability to create overarching models and standards for representing complex product domains
- Experience architecting and evolving design systems for large-scale product ecosystems
- Experience in design systems, pattern libraries, component modeling and architecture
- Have an available online portfolio Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax
- Experience in design systems, pattern libraries, component modeling and architecture
- Understanding of software architecture, APIs, coding patterns and practices
- Ability to create overarching models and standards for representing complex product domains
- Experience architecting and evolving design systems for large-scale product ecosystems
- Experience in design systems, pattern libraries, component modeling and architecture
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in re-platforming design systems or redesigning foundational architectures
- Proficiency with design tools for design systems (e.g. Figma, Sketch)
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills to simplify architectural concepts
- Ability to blend high-level strategic vision with implementation-focused design
- Strong systems thinking and talent for establishing scalable conventions
