ABOUT THIS ROLE
We are looking for a Strategy & Planning lead to oversee strategic initiatives across marketing, mange the Marketing organization’s strategic planning activities, and partner with leadership across the business on a day-to-day basis. You are highly self-directed and has deep experience in marketing and business strategy, strategic planning, and operations as well as leading executive-level communications and stakeholder management. You will be comfortable managing projects and working cross-functionally with key partners across Marketing, Operations, Data Science, Finance, and more to solve Audible’s toughest challenges, drive clarity and solutions in the face of ambiguity, and craft actionable recommendations to drive greater impact and operational rigor across Marketing and the broader business.

As a Marketing Strategy & Planning Lead, you will...
- Drive annual strategic planning by collaborating with marketing leadership to define marketing priorities and roadmap, set goals, and facilitate resource allocation decisions to determine overall investment
- Partner with a Data & Insights teams to establish a Marketing Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework to facilitate problem solving tradeoffs to inform resource allocation and proactively manage risk. Develop clear and actionable recommendations for senior leaders
- Represent Marketing in cross-functional goal setting and business reviews adequately expose tradeoffs of decisions made across the portfolio, and reflect both the short- and long-term business implications
- Drive transformation of our Marketing technology suite in partnership with senior leaders across Marketing, Product and Tech
- Lead operational initiatives in support of enabling more effective resource and investment allocation. Drive transparency, efficiency, and accountability across team through more rigorous, technologically advanced ROI, capacity planning and forecasting frameworks
- Communicate actionable insights to senior leadership by analyzing and synthesizing large sets of data, developing global perspectives on key business priorities, and crafting compelling recommendations to inform marketing strategy
- Lead complex cross-functional projects to advance strategic initiatives and optimize day-to-day operations
- Be a thought partner to marketing leadership to support the growth of Audible

Basic Qualifications

- 7+ years of experience in Strategy and Marketing
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or other related field
- Experience supporting a Marketing organization and/or supporting senior leadership in a strategy or chief-of-staff capacity
- Experience with marketing technology tools and platforms
- Experience translating data into actionable insights

Preferred Qualifications

- MBA
- Experience in corporate strategy or management consulting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as previous experience with executive communications
- Demonstrated track record of critical thinking and robust project management
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with high degree of ambiguity
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
