ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Content Discovery to define and build critical experiences that will help the right users find the right content at the right time. As part of the Content Discovery team, which encompasses Search, Personaliation and Browse, you will help connect listeners with content they can fall in love with, and introduce them to new content that can broaden their horizons. Your mission will be to build features that delight every Audible member by making the process of finding their own content intuitive, effortless, and compelling.

As a Senior Product Manager-Tech, Content Discovery, you will...
- Define and execute the roadmap with clearly articulated and well-measured goals, contributing to the worldwide Content Discovery product strategy and roadmap
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance personalized content discovery experiences, leveraging AI and machine learning techniques to connect users with relevant content based on their unique preferences and behaviors
- Champion the latest innovations in generative AI technology and introduce them to content discovery experiences, with autonomy and at scale. - Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, UX, marketing, etc.) to create discovery experiences that are meaningful and delightful to consumers, designing and implementing personalization features that empower customers to shape their experience
- Drive understanding across Audible of the impact and potential of discovery initiatives, championing the use of data-driven insights and experimentation to bolster content engagement and conversion
- Measure and analyze the performance of discovery features against firmly understood hypotheses and business objectives, leveraging data to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement
- Plan and prioritize the backlog for development teams to ensure maximum value in deliverables driven by customer obsession, interpreting insights and business needs and transforming them into detailed product requirements documents and user stories for engineering teams to execute
- Provide information to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike and guide them to confidently informed decisions through strong communication skills
- Evaluate and recognize the benefits and limitations of the technical design of a feature, and engage with engineering to make informed trade-off decisions

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical or related field
- 5+ years of experience in consumer product management, with 1+ year in complex organizations
- Experience in data driven hypothesis testing and experimentation
- Experience working with design teams to improve the user experience for customer facing products/features

Preferred Qualifications

- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a consumer-facing machine learning oriented product management or analytical role
- Experience in content discovery (search or personalization) powered by machine learning
- Experience with Generative AI-based tools and technologies
- Content streaming/media/entertainment industry experience (books, music, movies, etc)
- Ability to think creatively, execute on a roadmap, build consensus and momentum
- Strong analytical skills
- Data-driven: Define metrics for success and failure; ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to back up assumptions and make decisions
- Team player: Strong, demonstrated ability to rally and bring varying functional teams together
